Fisherman’s Friends (2019)

A cynical music exec travels to a remote Cornish village on a stag weekend where he’s pranked into trying to sign a group of singing fishermen (led by James Purefoy). So begins the story of a fish out of water as he fights for the respect and enthusiasm of the unlikely ‘buoy’ band, who value friendship far more than fame and fortune. As he comes to know their traditional way of life, he begins to question his own values in a comedic tale about what success really means and the importance of community, with plenty of glorious sea shanties thrown in.

'Gentle, sweet-natured comedy has warmth and a certain X factor of likability, helped by big-hearted performances.' The Guardian
