Presented by Big Picture Festival - Stratford upon Avon
The Old Oak is a special place – the only remaining pub in a community in the north-east of England that has suffered thirty years of decline. The landlord hangs on to it by his fingertips, a situation made more precarious when Syrian refugees unexpectedly arrive in the village, and The Oak becomes contested territory. Then, he meets a young Syrian and her camera. Can they find a way to bring people together? So unfolds a deeply moving drama of fragility and hope.
