Juliet & Romeo

Show Details

Presented by Lost Dog Dance

Performance date and time
Saturday, 7th March 2026
7:30 PM

A love story 20 years past its sell-by date… and still kicking. Forget everything you thought you knew about Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers. What if Juliet and Romeo didn’t die in a tragic tomb? What if they got married, had a kid and now - deep in their forties - are wondering if it was all a huge mistake? With Lost Dog’s signature blend of dance, theatre and laugh-out-loud comedy, Juliet & Romeo is a wildly original, deeply relatable and utterly hilarious exploration of what happens after “happily ever after.” In their cramped flat, the couple open up to the audience like an awkward therapy session that’s spiralled out of control. Romeo has performance issues (in more ways than one). Juliet is questioning everything - including whether Paris might’ve actually been the safer bet. Together, they re-stage key moments from their relationship, rehash the past and reveal a few secrets they never dared to share… until now. Yes, there’s dance. Yes, there’s drama. But more than anything, this is a show that gets relationships - the funny, frustrating, falling-apart-and-falling-back-in bits of being in love for the long haul. A witty, moving and unforgettable take on love, legacy and late-life crises. If you think you know the story… think again. And if you’ve ever been in love, this one’s for you.

"It’s not often you’re doubled over with laughter and wiping away tears of sadness during the same show. Given the components that come together in Juliet & Romeo, however, it’s no surprise." The Scotsman.
