When 93-year-old Thelma gets duped by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson, she sets out with a friend and a mobility scooter, on a treacherous quest across Los Angeles to reclaim what was taken from her.This is a sweet and sentimental comedy based on the real-life experiences of the director’s own grandmother.
