In this dreamlike Hungarian folk myth, a horse goddess gives birth to a human son. When he grows strong enough, he learns of the injustice meted out to his ancestors by the evil dragons, and sets out to take revenge on them. This film is an astonishing fantasy epic, using a kaleidoscopic medley of groundbreaking animation styles and swirling colourful images to portray its mythical monsters and beautiful princesses.
